The end of the semester, at long last! After a wild ride of last week classroom finales, "secret snowflake" gifting, a section dinner at John Harvard's, a practice exam in CivPro, standing o's for the faculty, two summer internship interviews (U.S. Attorney's Office and Conservation Law Foundation), and Miller Genuine Draft during the last class today, I'm just a tad exhausted. Time for some rest, putting up the Hingham tree on Sunday, and a nice two and a half week break from the law and Harvard... And some extended time to see Sarah, as well!
I shouldn't issue final first semester judgments yet; the exams are Jan. 11, 14, and 16. This next month will end with frenetic doctrinal cramming, and then the three all-day take home exams (get them at 8:30, return them by 4:30). Only at that point can I give a fair conclusory verdict on this 1L experience.
The calm is beginning to set in, and the break is the most welcome one in years... If this is my last blog before the holidays, I want to wish you and yours peace and happiness during this dark time. We should pray for "peaceableness" during our consumptive celebrations, even as world calm seems so distant. Think "good will toward humankind." May you enjoy the blessings of the season.
