I note with extreme sadness the passing of Rex McGuinn. He was an inspirational and challenging teacher, and I cannot fathom how Exeter will manage to grieve for yet another cherished community member gone before his time.
OK, I've been remiss in my postings lately (well, for months actually), but I can comfort myself with the fact that relatively few souls actually read my blog. (I was publishing in other ways to a somewhat larger audience.) That said, here's a quick update on what I've been doing with myself.
Since my last post, I've been to the Cape, Maine, and back to law school. The semester has so far been grueling - my myriad activities include article editing for the Environmental Law Review, mentoring and teaching legal writing to first year students, and pursuing a clincial course helping small businesses start up in the Jamaica Plain area of Boston. Add to this all my other coursework, wedding planning, crushing defeats for Bob Reich in the MA Democratic gubernatorial primary and my team at the Brownfield Boys Club, and a two-hour commute, and you've got one tired Christophe on your hands, despite my unusual lack of interest in interviewing with law firms (every last one of my law school friends is doing so).
Now you can even check out my hectic schedule (sync'ed with my Palm and my TiBook's calendar application - Jaguar is a might beast) here. October is shaping up to be calmer, but career deliberations loom... More on that in a future post, when I've nailed some things down!
Lastly, make sure you look outside, listen for the migrating geese, and enjoy the fall of the year - it has begun here in Amesbury already.
