I am now... married! The wedding went off better than we could have imagined. Within a month, I should have a classy montage of pictures of the big day for all the world to see on my badly-in-need-of-new-material photos page.

Married life, to us anyway, isn't too different from pre-married life, except for the incredible light-headedness that comes with having such a massively-planned spectacle behind us, and of course, the now-cluttered-with-wonderful-wedding-presents state of our humble abode.

These days, I am thoroughly enjoying a three-week course on Community Economic Development at HLS before the busy Spring semester arrives in less than two weeks. Yesterday, our class visited the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative in Roxbury, catching a glimpse of that unprecedented and very encouraging two-decade-old neighborhood organizing effort that has made excellent progress toward the revitalization of the area. While I remain fascinated by the policy issues surrounding Community Economic Development - including affordable housing and local-economy sustainable business development, I have largely decided to begin my legal career, in some shape or form, in the environmental field. To that end, I have taken a summer internship at the EPA in Boston to work primarily on issues of smart growth and brownfields redevelopment. Sarah is now working exclusively at the Center for Wildlife in York, ME, and awaits word from grad and vet schools for her destination this Fall.

Here in Amesbury, we're trying to stay warm - it's 14 degrees outside today - for a high! Don't get me wrong - I love winter, snow, and cold temperatures - but how about a few days of January thaw? Just a few days?
